Dear Logan,
Spring has finally arrived! No more dreary, cloudy, rainy weather. We've been blessed with beautiful blue skies and nice warm weather, even in Daly City. Where Mommy works, Daly City is usually foggy and cold, but this past week, we have temperature in the high 60s! Beautiful! Blue skies make me happy.
Down in Palo Alto where your brother goes to school, temperature is even higher. That means he gets to finally wear short sleeves to school. I didn't let him wear his shorts yet, worrying he might fall and scrape his knees again. He is so careless and active, he hurts himself all the time. But today, I finally let him wear shorts. It's amazing how something so small makes him so happy.
With Spring weather, comes beautiful flowers, nice green grass and trees. Well, it also means Mommy and your brother need to take allergy medication everyday. Even before this nice weather, whenever we go visit you, we all get the sniffles and runny eyes. It's going to get worse from now, but that won't stop us from visiting you. I just need to remember to give your brother and I some Claritin before we head out to see you later.
I am usually not a big fan of Daylight Savings Time. I hate changing my sleep schedule back and forth. But one good thing about it is that when we come home from work/school, even at 6:30 p.m., there's still daylight. The other day, your brother was able to play with his bubble gun and play with his bubbles. Another good thing is the extended visiting hours we have to come see you. The gates don't close at 5 p.m. anymore, and we could stop by at a later time and not rush.
We went up to Tahoe and Reno for some snow and carnival games fun last weekend. It was a short, tiring but very fun trip. We did sledding for the first time, and more snow tubing. Your brother loved tubing so much that he didn't want to go. We will definitely do it again, but not this season since the weather is getting warm. We stayed at Circus Circus again so that we are close to the carnival games that your brother has been so obsessed with. His favorite game is Alley Ball, aka Skee Ball. He loves playing it on the Wii, and also in real life.
I hope you're doing well. We miss you lots.
Love you,
Mommy

March for Babies
Dear Logan,
It's that time of the year again. It's time to get ready for the March for Babies Walk in April. This is such a bittersweet event. Last year when I walked, it was a week after your passing. I debated whether to do it, or just donate all the money that we received. When I decided to walk, I never in a million years expected you not to be around anymore. But God has other plans. Instead of walking in Honor of you, I walked in Memory of you.
This year, I am walking In Memory of you again. The event, once again happens almost a week after your anniversary. I really can't think of a more time-appropriate and meaningful way to remember you, than to do this walk. A little different this year is that I am walking as Team The Arc of San Francisco, instead of Team Logan The Lobster. Last year, my friends at work organized a walk themselves because of you. This year, I think I am going to organize it to get my clients involved in such a meaningful cause again. I don't know what the turnout would be, since I don't work in the SF office and is kind of difficult to get my co-workers and clients to get all excited about this event. But either way, even if there's only one other client walking, I will be doing it.
Since we moved down to Sunnyvale, we will have to get up really early this year to get to the event by 9 a.m. I am still not sure if I will be bringing your brother or Daddy with me. I am pretty sure I will since we're doing this for you. I have set my monetary goal a little smaller this year. Last year, unexpectedly, we received overwhelming support from our friends and families. I think it was because of your passing, and people really were moved and touched by all that we have gone through. This year, it might be a little different, though I have already received generous donations from my friends already. I am pretty sure I will reach my goal, as both Daddy and Mommy will donate to the cause ourselves, and should pretty much be able to reach our $500 goal.
Will you be walking with us in spirit? I bet you will!
Miss you,
Mommy

Recap: Housewarming party
Dear Logan,
Mommy has been lazy and haven't been writing to you. As we told you last week when we came to visit, we had our housewarming party a couple weeks ago. It was a lot of fun. Before all the guests arrived, we're going crazy getting everything set up and ready. Our living room and dining area appeared pretty big. But once all of our friends showed up, it seemed like there wasn't place to sit or stand. We're glad that so many of our friends came by, some traveled from afar.
Daddy made some delicious oxtail and sticky rice, and both got rave reviews from our friends. Too bad we're too busy that I totally forgot to take pictures and show them to you. We got presents and flowers, and of course had leftovers that lasted us a few more days.
Even though it's been two weeks, I don't think our house was back to normal. Things still need to be put away, and definitely in need of cleaning. Luckily, "Auntie Cleaning" (as your brother said) is coming next week to give our house a good scrubbing. Mommy really has no energy at the end of the day, or week to do any deep cleaning. Wouldn't it be nice to have someone who cooks, cleans and does laundry for me?
Love,
Mommy
