Family Day -Karaoke! Shopping! Buffet!

Dear Logan,

Mommy had another fun and tiring day today! All of us, Mommy, big brother, Ah Gung, Ah Po, Uncle Carlos and Auntie Mena, all went Karaoke, shopping and dinner today. It's rare that we're able to do this all day, because of everyone's hectic schedules. Luckily, Uncle Carlos didn't have to work today, after getting off from work from an overnight shift. He didn't sleep all day and went out with us. Auntie Mena was lucky enough to not have to work in the afternoon, or have class in the evening, and was able to participate as well. Ah Po was in good spirits. We were able to wheel her around at The Venetian, so she didn't have to walk too much.

We all started with our lunch Karaoke at Neway. It's been a very long time since my last Karaoke. Your brother had a lot of fun as well. After the other day's experience, he was very excited to hold the mic again, and definitely was not shy in singing. We were able to find some kids songs for him e.g. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, 1,2,3,4,5 Once I caught a Fish alive, B-I-N-G-O, Happy Birthday, Jingle Bells, Mary Had a Little Lamb and ABC. Of course Mommy also recorded clips of him singing. The clips are big, so I am still uploading them. I'll post them up after they're done.

Lunch karaoke only costs MOP$35 per person and it includes lunch and a drink, and karaoke for 3 hours. Not a bad deal. We got a HUGE room. Did I tell you the room was HUGE! The room could fit 25-30 people and there were only 6 of us. Maybe they felt bad for charging your brother the full price, or they think it's cute that the whole family came for lunch karaoke. Whatever the reason was, there was definitely enough room for your brother to run around. His patience ran out towards that last hour, and that's why the Gameboy came into place. He actually behaved pretty good.

After karaoke, we went to ESKIMO for some afternoon tea special of snacks and bubble tea. Your brother had a huge strawberries smoothie and that gave him enough sugar to run around The Venetian while we're shopping. He was so energetic that he demanded to push Ah Po's wheelchair without any assistance. Of course, he had to do his escalator and elevator runs whenever he spotted them from a mile away. Ah Po wanted to buy a nice purse, so we took her shopping to see if she could spot a nice, expensive one (courtesy of Ah Gung). Unfortunately, she didn't see anything she liked. I, on the other hand, got some clothes, mainly for your brother. We actually had to buy him a new pair of pants because his were all wet, due to the enormous amount of liquids he has consumed (and unwillingness to go potty).

For dinner, we went for the Asian Buffet at Bambu in The Venetian. I have to say I am a little disappointed in the quality of the food. The selection was ok, with a variety of Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Indian, and Malaysian dishes. The best was the desserts, even that weren't amazing. I guess the most exciting thing I've tried was their corn ice-cream. Yup, corn ice-cream. Sounds nasty, but it actually tasted pretty good. After dinner, we were dead tired. Your big brother fell asleep in half an hour. He actually almost fell asleep during dinner, but Ah Gung 'woke' him up or kept him awake with ice-cream. Evil, eh?

It was such a fun day. Mommy and big brother are enjoying the last two weeks of our vacation. After that, everything will be back to normal and Aidan will have to get used to a more routine life. I hope he will adjust well. Thank goodness he loves school.

Everything happens for a reason. Because of you, your big brother was able to have so much fun. Because of you, Mommy treasures time spent with family even more. Because of you, everyone strives to be healthier because we know how important good health is. Your leaving us is tragic, but maybe it happens for a reason. What do you think?

Mommy still thinks about you, esp. in the middle of the night when I lay in bed. I know you're with us in spirits, and smiling down from heaven.

Miss you,
Mommy
